Less farts

Adding kelp to beans - the more you eat the less you fart.

I can't find any science backed studies on this but...

Beans contain raffinose sugars, which humans find hard to break down naturally in our bodies, resulting in monster trumps/air-biscuits/farts.

Thankfully kelp type seaweeds can save the day, as they contain enzymes called glutamic acids, which help to break down the raffinose sugars for us.

Just add a small 10cm strip of kelp to soaking beans or pop some in the pot when cooking.

Note: 'Kelp' is a term used to describe large brown seaweeds in the Laminariales order. They include Welsh natives Oarweed (Laminaria digitata), Sugar kelp (Saccharina latissima) and Dabberlocks (Alaria esculenta). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelp
